The last election held on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th February 2013 is inconclusive and not just that, Pope Benedict XVI aged 86 has officially resigned.
The College of Cardinals, headed by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, is now in charge of the world's about 1.2 billion Roman Catholics until a new pope is elected.
