NTV Italo: Facts

Ok, i believe most of you that reside or visit Italy often has come across this train with the .Italo sign on it. Well the train is owned by a private company called NTV (Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori).

NTV is an Italian Rail Transport company which own Europe's first private {open access operator of 300 km/h (190 mph)} high-speed trains. NTV, Italo is an alternative to state-run services when traveling between Milan and Naples (Napoli) and cities such as Rome in between.

NTV was created by four Italian businessmen among them is the chairman of Ferrari (sports car manufacturer); Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who is also the chairman of NTV.

The company started service on 28 April 2012 and it has 25 trains.
